Geocache Description:

Terrain has some grade to it but is relatively flat. Wear waterproof shoes. Some bushwacking might be necessary in growing months.


The cache is located on the Kiwanis Wyoming County Fair Grounds. To get there from Tunkhannock, drive west on Rt. 6 towards Meshoppen. Drive 1.6 miles from the light in Meshoppen and turn left after the Geisinger Medical Group Building onto St. Joachim’s Cemetery Road. Drive about .5 mile and turn right onto the fair access road (dirt road). Drive up the road and park behind the 2 houses (on your right side). To get there from Laceyville, drive east on Rt. 6 towards Meshoppen. Drive about 1 mile past the main entrance to the fairgrounds (on the left side), and follow the above directions from St. Joachim’s Cemetery Road.

Easy math is required to find this cache, so bring along a pencil and paper.

The Cache is located at the following coordinates (you have to fill in the missing digits by following the clues):

N 41* 36._7_’ W 076* 04._7_’

CLUES:
1. Begin by locating the Horse Arena announcing building (small 2-story wooden structure). Count the number of posts holding up the buildings overhang. Subtract 2. (This is the last digit of the N coordinate)

2. Next, Count the letters of the persons first and last name. Divide by 3. (This is the final missing digit in the N coordinate)

3. Now…. Count the telephone poles around the horse arena, subtract 2. (This is the first missing digit in the W coordinate)

4. Keep going !! Count the number of cupola’s on the roof of the horse barn. Subtract 3. The barn is located directly east of the horse arena. (This is the last digit of the W coordinate).

NOTE: This cache is not available on May 30 and from August 25 through September 10.
