Geocache Description:

Drive out Olde Highway 80 to La Posta Truck trail. Not accessible from Interstate 8. Look for a regular sized container that is just off the road that leads toward the ranch. Sharpen your country know-how by stepping through a barbed-wire fence and hoofin’ a short piece through some weeds and brush. You’ll have a nice new-age odor when y’r done.

Go ahead an admit it, you’d like t’ be a cowboy or a cowgirl wouldn’t y’? Yessiree, the romance of th’ old west is mighty hard t’ resist. Ask any cowboy, y’ just can’t beat ridin’ dusty trails, shovelin’ horse-do, eatin’ cold clabber-milk biscuits, and havin’ a good fight now and then. Whut makes a cowboy interestin’ is their p’culiar point of view. It’s all about turnin’ complaints into entertainment. All y’ need t’ know is a few cowboy remarks and you can make Hell sound just like Heaven. So here’s your chance t’ score another Sandy Creek Cowboy cache and learn t’ talk like a real cowboy at th’ same time. When you log your find on our web page try using one or more of th’ followin’ cowboy expressions in your log entry. “Far, tar, bale, hail, plars, ranch, warshin’, war, wangs, oll, bidness, dawg, surp, lick, and she-ut.” We’ll check out your log entry and the post a smart-aleck remark ‘bout your new-found grasp of cowboy talk. We’ll make a big fuss over any log entry that uses all th’ cowboy expresssions in a true country way. Y’all come, The Sandy Creek Cowboys
