Sint-Pietersplas
Het Bloso sloot de meeste van haar watersportcentra in
West-Vlaanderen. VVW-Nieuwpoort onderhandelde met verschillende
overheden opdat deze activiteiten in clubverband konden blijven
bestaan, wat in Harelbeke op De Gavers en op de Spuikom in Oostende
lukte maar in Dikkebus, op de vijver, niet. In Brugge, aan de
Sint-Pietersplas, investeerde de VVW zelf en kocht een deel van de
gronden en de Bloso gebouwen, om er de watersport te kunnen
behouden. Omwille van de positieve medewerking van de stad Brugge
kon dit gerealiseerd worden en kregen ze het ganse domein in
erfpacht voor vijftig jaar.
De Sint-Pietersplas vormt een ideaal actieterrein voor wie houdt
van uitdagingen en avontuur. Grensverleggend zijn de touwenpistes
& death-ride van de Outsider Coast. VVW Brugge Sint-Pietersplas
biedt verder een waaier aan outdoorwatersporten zoals kajak,
windsurf, zeilen en vlottenbouw. Uniek in de streek wordt het nog
aan te leggen technisch mountainbikeparcours.
In de verdere toekomst staat nog veel te gebeuren rond
deze plas. Zo bestaan er plannen om er een camping in te richten en
de plas uit te breiden tot een veel grotere zeilvijver.
Parkoers
Vind de deelcoordinaten die aangebracht zijn op aluminium

Let op de kleine kinderen, laat ze niet te dicht bij het
water !
Vrij parkeren kan in de buurt van volgende coördinaat : N

Het parkoers is niet echt geschikt voor kinderwagens maar
bij droge weersomstandigheden zou dit met buggy's met grote wielen
wel mogellijk kunnen zijn. De waypoints zijn niet op gemotoriseerde
wijze te bereiken.

BLOSO, a local administration ment to promote sport,
closed most of its watersport centres in West-Vlaanderen.
VVW-Nieuwpoort negotiated with several authorities so that these
activities of clubs could continue. They didn't succeed in
Harelbeke on the Gavers, on the Spuikom in Ostend and in Dikkebus,
on the pond. In Bruges, the VVW invested in the Sint-Pietersplas
and bought a part of the domain and the BLOSO building, to be able
to preserve the watersports. As a result of the positive
collaboration of the city of Bruges, this could be done and the VVW
could lease the entire domain for fifty years. The Sint-Pietersplas
is an ideal area for lovers of challenges and adventure. Revealing
is the circuit of ropes & death-ride of the Outsider Coast. VVW
offers a wide range of outdoor- and watersports to the citizens of
Bruges such as kayak, windsurfing, sailing and raftconstruction.
Unique in the region will be the new technical mountainbiketrail.
In the near future there will be some more changes around this
lake. There are plans to arrange a camp-site there and to extend
the lake to a much larger lake for sailing.

don't let them play too close of the water !You can park your

suited for child carriages but at dry circumstances this walk must
be able with buggy's with large wheels. The waypoints cannot be
reached by car.
