One of the Best Kept Secrets Traditional Cache
Roscoe P: AK OMA, Bow and Roscoe decided that we were going to pull this cache today and enjoy "One of the Best Kept Secrets", just once more. It proved to be a wonderful hike and the colors of the moss on the hike up are just beautiful on a sunny day like today. I might use this container for a new cache closer to town, as it has alot of character.

Park in the round-about that sits just off the highway and walk, hike or snowshoe.I hiked off the road a short distance and found a trail that led behind a small hill. I was soon amazed by the beauty of the area.
I found this pull out plowed in winter. When you get near the cache you will need to climb a short distance. I hid this cache in winter, but because you climb up, you are climbing up under the canopies of the large “old growth” Spruce trees, there is very little snow. This is like an Oasis in the middle of winter. The trees are majestic, and the green mosses are like natures blanket. I noticed what look like wild rose bushes, cranberry bushes and ferns closed up for the winter. There is devils club around so choose the area to climb up carefully.
This cache is a small round Igloo cooler, placed in a plastic grocery sack. It contains, a Dancing Dalmatian, McDonald Monkey, Gumby Mickey, a camping can opener, a hand warmer, a “Lite” Stick on Button, “Song of India” incense, thank you cards, Twist it up hair barrette, a hand beaded hair barrette, “Simple Pleasures” book and some Oil of Olay Facial Packets.
