Geocache Description:

This cache is not wheelchair accessable and will require some walking from the closest parking area. It is located in the back portion of Plainville Lake and will require driving on uneven dirt roads to get near the cache. This hide will be difficult to get to after a rain unless you have a jeep type vehicle and don't mind a car wash.

The cache is a green ammo can containing a log book and usual items for trade.

This cache is hidden in an area where I go froggin in the mid summer months. I have bagged many large bullfrogs in this area especially early in the season. The Kansas season runs from July 1st through October 31st with a bag limit of 8 per day and a posession limit of 24. Many people catch bullfrogs with a pole using a fly or red ribbon on a treble hook. I have been most successful when I use a paddle boat or raft to get close to the frogs. A frog is much harder to get to coming from the bank and casting. They are a lot less threatened when you come from the water towards the bank.

The cache is hidden in a wooded area high up from the bank. This lake requires that no non highway vehicles (like 4 wheelers) are allowed in the area. Remember, cache in trash out. Happy caching
