STAR WARS Multi-Cache
TURTLE: Went to check on this one ahead of the event this weekend and several stages were underwater. That, plus the fact that the nuclear power plant (AKA Death Star) is no longer there, has lead me to pull the plug on this one. Thanks to all who searched for this cache. It was somewhat unique when first published. May the Force be with you!

Episode IV: A New Hope
A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away...
“Obi Wan Kenobi? Obi-Wan? Now that’s a name I’ve not heard in a long time, a long time. Yes, I was a Jedi Knight, the same as your father. Jedi Knights were guardians of peace and justice in the Old Republic, before the dark times, before the Empire. Now the Jedi are all but extinct.”
Thus went your conversation with the hermit known as Ben Kenobi. Your trip to retrieve your runaway R2 unit has turned into much more than you anticipated. Information vital to the survival of the Rebellion was stored into the memory system of R2-D2. The Empire has destroyed your extended family and their moisture farm and you are now headed to Mos Eisley, to find passage to Alderaan in an effort to deliver the R2 unit to the Rebel leaders.
“Mos Eisley space port. You will not find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. We must be cautious.” There you meet a smuggler who claims his ship made the Kessle Run in less than 12 parsecs. The old man explains that you would like to avoid any Imperial entanglements on your trip to Alderaan. You offer 2000 credits now and 15,000 when you get to Alderaan. The smuggler accepts the offer and gives you the coordinates for Docking Bay 94 where the Kessle Run starts. (See Docking Bay coordinates clues below)
You must follow the Kessle Run to the end. There you will find Imperial listening post number 53. It is part of the Empire’s vast, crumbling sensor array. Do not climb on it as the Empire would be alerted and your mission would be jeopardized. A Rebel Outpost here was recently destroyed, but just before the battle, a small information pod was attached to listening post 53. Find the information pod to continue your mission.
To be successful, you must transmit the information in R2-D2 to the Alliance and destroy the Death Star!
BEWARE THE DARK SIDE. IT IS POWERFUL. IT COVERS THE TRUTH.
May the Force be with you!
TURTLE’s note: This cache is very close to the Connecticut River and will be subject to flooding in the Spring. The cache will not be available during this time and will be taken off-line as needed.
