(Picture by Foster Clan on the same day I placed this cache.)Parking is located at N 42 29.533 W 083 22.725 off of Farmington Road. The parking area has bathrooms and picnic tables and a map site.
If the front gate is closed. It doesn't add much to your walk length.
The cache is not far from the trail. No wetland bushwacking is needed. You should follow the Beech-Maple Trail to the Sumac Trail, to the Goldenrod Trail to the Dogwood Trail. They are marked real well. Almost too well. If you do all the entire loops , you could go 1.7 miles round trip.
While hiking in , it was a sunny cold morning with fresh snow on the trees and limbs. The small valley along the creek looked just like the great winter movie scene in: " Dancing with Wolves." Just a spectacular site!!
So , that is where this title for this cache came from.
The cache is an ammo box, filled with goodies and a camera to take your picture. Also, a new MiGO Coin as a first finders prize. You can activate it and track it as your own. Bring good trade items. I try to keep my caches filled with better trade items.
No pets are allowed in this area. There are many birds and ducks in the wetland sections. What's that?? I hear Wolves in the distance!! The park hours are from dawn to a half hour before dusk. Be sure and hit GCGXYF while in the park also.
