Parking for this and the nearby F0T0M0M PANORAMA V and VI caches is at 34 09.190 N, 118 12.798 W. To reach this location from Glen Oaks Blvd turn North onto Gardner. Follow Gardner all the way until it dead-ends into Pennerton. Then follow Pennerton until it ends at the access gate for the fire road/path.
As you may have guessed by now, we live in Scholl Canyon. This location provides a nice Panoramic view of the Canyon.
Long pants are a must, as the fire road quickly turns into a fairly narrow trail with brush on both sides.
The cache is about 0.50 miles from the access gate. To reach this cache, you will have to leave the main trail just past the cut through the rock, and head south on the side trail about 0.13 miles out to the point. Please be careful of the open cistern just past the fire hydrant, a few feet up the side path. We noticed that deer seem to really like the cache area, as did the one tick that tried to hitch-hike out of the area with us.
