Hilly Fields Enfield #1 - Listen to the Band Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

kbootb: Looks like it's time to archive this one. Local youngsters have discovered the area and spend the evenings playing here....but that's good.

Perhaps I'll find another way of hiding one nearby in the future.

Geocache Description:

This is a nano, a pet identity tag, hidden on the obvious structure in my local parkland. Contains only a log book, so bring your own pen.

New container - slightly different location!

My first cache is a micro - in fact a 'nano' to lead you into a lovely area on the North of London for walking. This section has tarmac paths to within 30 metres of the cache. In the winter the last bit of grass can be very muddy. The area is known as Clay Hill and is close to Turkey Brook, which can flood in extreme conditions.

My first cache went missing, so this is a replacement. I have had to use something much smaller to be able to hide it. See the spoiler picture to see what you are looing for.

The building has been renovated by local residents, they have a website here http://www.hillyfields.info/that explains the history.

Parking is easy in local roads, and the area is a 15 minute walk from Gordon Hill railway station.

Refreshements at the Rose and Crown or the Fallow Buck. Both historic pubs are worth a visit.

Area will be busy with dog walkers and other assorted locals, have fun.
