This is our first cache. Getting to this cache requires a walk through the woods along a mostly hardpacked and readily identifiable trail. You might get sand in your shoes when you reach the open area about 1/2 way to the cache. The cache is about 400 feet from a trail through mostly open woods. Once you get close, it should be a fairly obvious hiding spot..but hopefully it will make you think.
You can park at the new Bedford library to reach the trail head to the nature trails just behind the wooden fence at the back end of the south parking lot. The cache is a square Tupperware-type container. The coordinates are written on the lid. There's a welcome letter in the event it's stumbled across.
Inside the cache are several small trinkets including a Elvis Presley key chain, a plastic army man, Bugs Bunny, a Red Cross label pin, a pair of AA batteries for a GPSR emergency, a wooden Geocaching coin, and a Neopet stuffed toy. The log book has two pencils and a hand pencil sharpener in a plastic bag.
Fido the Travel Dog started in this cache and he is on is way to Wisconsin, last spotted in Northwest Ohio.
