MadMin: I attempted to contact the owner of Johnson Flume Cache to find out about the status of this cache on April 27, 2007. I have received no response from the owner on the cache page or via email. Because of that I'm afraid I have to archive this cache.

I will be more than happy to review this cache again and (hopefully) reinstate it once you have corrected any issues with the cache. please contact me via ma.reviewer@gmail.com to do so.

Geocache Description:

Nice area on town owned conservation land. Good paths, fairly flat and like everything on Cape Cod, near sea level

Best way to come in is off Bell's Neck Road. It is a dirt road in the area where you want to park. Go to the highest point on the dirt road and look to the west where you will see a cranberry bog. Good spot to park and you can pick up the trail from there. On your way down the trail look to the north at the resevoir and you will see swans and maybe an osprey. When you get to where you hear the flume spilling the fresh water into the salt water follow the river path. If you want to see the flume, go about 50 yards further on the main trail before you go up the river path and you will see a herring ladder that goes up from the Herring River into the West Resevoir. Cache starts out with a Harrisburg (PA) Holiday kit , Cape Cod Memories pocket book, a pink stuffed mouse, Dinky 2CV TB, and a letter opener. Please sign the log. Good area to bring along a Kayak or Canoe.
