Geocache Description:

This cache is located near Fall Creek in the Cornell Plantations, one of the best swimming areas in Ithaca. We hid this cache in a medium sized Tupperware container. The site is appropriate for children and pets.

This cache is located in the Fall Creek Natural Area near the Flat Rocks swimming hole in the Cornell Plantations. This is a great hiking / jogging area with unique habitat. There are towering trees and biologically important wetlands. Better yet, this is one of the best, child friendly swimming areas in town. Fall Creek spreads out over smooth bedrock making it easy for small feet to navigate and play. We hid this cache in a medium sized Tupperware container. We placed the container upside down to make it less visible from the trail. Please return it this way. The cache is full of goodies from the Plantations. There is information about the Plantations and, in particular, this area inside. Please use the opportunity to explore this great resource. Directions: take Route 366 towards Ithaca and make a right on Forest Home Drive. Go about one mile and park in the parking area on the right hand side (42'27"14.1 N, 076'27"24.5 W). Your journey starts by crossing the suspension bridge.
