Apart from the film location, Cregneash is very much worth a visit. It's a "living museum", preserving the way of life of the Isle of Man a hundred years ago but with the residents still living in the village and in some cases working there as well. Although you can look around the village all year, for no charge, to gain the full benefit it's worth paying the admission fee which allows you inside the cottages. Harry Kelly's is unique: the attendant wears traditional costume and will talk about the way of life of the old fishermen and farmers who used to live here. At the right time of year, demonstrations of traditional farming techniques take place, with vintage machinery, and there's usually a few farm animals around as well.
If you're ready for a walk, there's a farm trail (can be muddy).

The cache itself is at a well, which is accessed by a short footpath: the well is just a few yards from the road and the approach stays dry all the time. The container is a metal micro "bullet" type container (camouflaged), with a log book but bring your own pencil/pen. Park at the main car park (54°04.274'N, 4°45.956'W - at the top of the hill at the Port St. Mary end of the village) as there is little room in the village itself. The other option is to park at The Chasms (54°03.875'N, 4°45.966'W), have a look at the spectacular scenery there, then walk back north to the village (or round via El Presidente).
