Located close to the parking areas, but may be challenging to reach depending on snow conditions.
Well I had been cooped up long enough...It's time to get out of town, so I packed up the camping gear and headed for the hills. After a nice relaxing camp, I decied it was time to place another cache. This cache is located near a trail that is part of "The Revenge of the Singletrack" mountain bike race.
There is currently about 18 inches of snow in the area (and hopefully alot more on the way...). I was on snow shoes and it made a nice short little hike from the truck. If conditions remain the same, you can walk on top of the snow crust in the mornings, but by about noon the snow starts getting pretty soft, and snow shoes/cross country skis would definately help.
The hide is an easy one, but getting to the hiding spot could be an adventure (even though it is not far from your car), but hey, isn't that what caching is all about?
Please be careful when replacing cache, as the container is not 100% waterproof, but is sheltered somewhat by the hiding spot.
