This cache was placed while on a chukar hunting trip in the Lava Beds east of Gerlach.
The Lava Beds offer some pretty spectacular views and incredible rock formations. The area is currently a Wilderness Study Area and is worth a trip out there to hike, hunt, photograph, or explore.
If you find the right road into the Lava Beds this cache offers a short hike from the end of the road. The container is a small ammo can and has the usual assortment of geo-goodies and oddities.
