Geocache Description:

Just outside of Lake Mead National Recreational Area.

From Lake Mead's North Shore Road, take the access road marked "West End Wash North". Access Coordinates are 36 11.487N 114 44.090W. This road will quickly take you outside NPS property and up a wash into a very beutiful that is seldom accessed by people, and provides for absolutley phonomimal panoramas. The desert sunset will provide for the most slendid colors as the rays of the setting sun hit the different minerals in these mountains. The drive is nearly 3 miles up an open wash, so a vehicle with some clearance is required, and 4x4 is helpful in the loose gravel. Do not attempt if rain is remotely possible.
