Geocache Description:

Not far off Highway 99 and Cohassett in beautiful cache friendly Chico. Easy drive up and ample parking.

Chico is an unofficial NUTS (almond) capital of the world, and shares this destinction with Sacramento (ever seen an almond tree in Sac?). So what better place to have our next N.U.T.S. (Northstate Unusual Treasure Seekers) gathering. All who are interested in geocaching are welcome... you don't have to be a NUT... but it always helps. We will meet at 5:00 pm and have the room until 8 p.m. after that it's squatters rights! It's a BYOFD (buy your own food and drink). This event is to honor all the newbies out there that have been doing such a great job of placing so many new and fun caches out there, and to also celebrate some geoversaries of the old timers. So come one and all, bring the kids, mother-in-law or whom ever... it will be a great way to start the geo new year. If you would like to participate in a drawing for a ready made cache to hide, please bring a bit of swag suitable for a fine NUTS cache. Also, bring your stories and if you would like, how about a geo new year's resolution or geogoals (for those who don't do resolutions). Perhaps the placement of this event in Chico will allow for some more of our most northern NUTS to share the fun. Hope to see you all there, and please log your intent and the number in your party so we can advise the proprietor.

Sorry to confuse some of you... the placement date of an "Event" is the date it is to happen... in this case it's January 22nd, 2005.
