This cache is my personal cache. It's less than a quarter mile from my house located in Middle Village. Middle Village was named as such because it is half-way (the middle) between Jamaica and Williamsburg. This is where farmers bringing produce to market in the 18th and 19th centuries stopped to rest.
This a screw top pill bottle. I added a 'tool' to make it easier to retrieve. Please hide the tool as found after you retrieve and then return the cache.
Each item in the initial cache represented a facet of my life. Items included:
Railroad bookmark (in honor of its location & my love of trains.)
Boy Scout Patches (my other life)-- [Please reserve these for cachers who will appreciate them]
Dinosaur (in honor of my other caches...not because I'm old)
UU Bug (my religion and the initial launch of it)
Jester Figurine (for the child in me and the love of a good time)
Arbor Day Mine Reclamation Pin (I teach Earth & Environmental Science)
Globe key tag (for the GEO in geocaching)
Christmas Key clip (time of year of launch)
Santa Pez (ditto and to attract Pez collectors)
Glass Heart (for all the caring I put into this)
WG$ -- you all know why!
If you are trading items, please place something in the cache that is meaningful to you and tell us why.
Try not to cache during school hours. The building nearby used to be a school annex but is no longer. Although it's not on school property, it makes some people uneasy. The security guards at the school are aware of its existence.
