Amongst the Rubble Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Sapience Trek: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

This cache will take you along the Canal Trail so the walking will be fairly easy, and paved the whole way. The final cache is hidden off the path.

Along this stretch of the Canal Trail, you will pass by rubble left over from when they were digging the Erie Canal all those years ago. The actual trail is built on the rubble as well. The total trek will be about 1.2 miles round trip. I have been parking in Ricks Prime Rib parking lot, but the shoulder is very wide here, apparently for people to park and have access to the trailheads.

The coordinates listed get you close to the first waypoint, which has the coordinates to the final hide. I ask that you try and re-hide the cache as well as when you found it, or maybe a little better. Gotta keep the muggles away.

You are looking for a .50 cal ammo can. I have stocked it with some goodies geared more torwards the young cacher.

3/13/2005: After watching R of Peppermill 6 pack attempting to procure the cache, this may be a tough one to accomplish in the winter. Good thing the Damsel in distress had two galiant heros (Wheelygood and myself) to assisst.
