Located in the Haystack Off Road vehicle area. One steep hill....can be made a little easier...but not much.
Park at the Haystack Mountain Off Road Vehicle Area parking lot. This is a fee area. Not bad though. There are several ways to get to the cache....but choose wisely..some of the trails are steep and loose...but a shorter route. Some are longer and more circuitous...but not too hard a walk. The whole area is criss crossed with trails.
The bluffs are steep and lead to sandstone washes. There are quite a few deer, coyote, bobcats, cottontail rabbits, antelope, mountain lions (seriously), and snakes of every imaginable ilk. Enjoy the sandstone formations. This cache is easily hiked to, but the trails make for a great day of mountain biking.(or dirt biking if you prefer a motor)
