Geocache Description:

A walk along a straight(ish) sometimes muddy path. Cache is a small plastic tub.

The name refers to Rev's rather obvious statement on first standing at this point and seeing the view, when this was a stone's throw from a deep and active quarry. Since then it's been converted into a landfill and the view looks very different!

With the building of "New Sandy Lane" we moved the parking point to the North, making it a rather longer walk than it used to be! Walk along the footpath and you'll get to the cache. Many people walk their dog here, but unfortunately not all pick up after them. As there are walkers please hide cache again carefully.

Alternative points to start walking are from the kissing gate on Port Road near the bridge over New Sandy Lane, or from Harlestone Heath garden centre on the A428, where a hidden foot path runs through the wood parallel to the fence to the south of the garden centre.

At the cache nettles can be an issue in summer, and hawthorn at almost any time, though that never used to be an issue, but bushes grow and the cache has been around a wee while.
