Geocache Description:

This one shouln't be to hard. You can drive up to the sign and probably figure out the cache coordinates from the comfort of the car. The cache is a short walk from the area of the sign.

The co-ords that are above will put you in the middle of Cheney Stadium.
The cache isn’t there.
What you will be looking for is a sign. No, not an omen. A sign on a
post. The sign will help you get the co-ords to the cache.
There are several ways for you to find the sign. Two of them will entail
using the computer.
The first way will be to go to the web page at
www.angelfire.com/wa2/hwysofwastate/blustr.html and find the link to a
picture of a sign. A Blue Star Highway Marker sign located in Tacoma. It’s
not a Memorial or a ByWay Marker sign and it is the only one in Tacoma.
There with the picture is a brief description of where the sign is located.
The second way would be to go to the web page for “Team Noltex” (a
Tacoma GeoFamily) and look for a cache they did on July 8, 2004. That
cache was one that was started by “Jug & Roon” down in Woodland, CA.
On “Team Noltex’s” page you will find a poor picture of the sign and a brief
description of where it is. ( Because “Team Noltex” has inside info on where
the sign is I would like to respectively ask them to consider not trying to do a
FTF. I will leave it up to your own discretion.)
#3, For all I know there may be folks out there who know exactly
where I’m talking about just from the hints that I have given already and they
won’t have to go through any of this hunting to find the location of the sign.
So, now you have found the locale and you need to get the co-ords to
find the cache. For that you must be able to read the sign. The formula goes
like this.......
47’ 14.ABC
A = Count the letters in the first line and then subtract 8.
B = Count the letters in the first word of the first line.
C = The total of the second & third words of line #3.

122’ 29.DEF
D = Add up the letters of the fourth word in line 5.
E = The total of all the letters of the third word of line 4.
F = Count the number of letters in the first word of the 7th line.

The cache is a military green canister the size of a large Thermos
container. Please take the time to rehide the cache as you found it. The few
extra minutes will be worth it. Happy Caching.
