Geocache Description:

Este caché está situado en los márgenes del camino llamado “Vereda de La Estrella”, y es conocido por ser la mejor ruta para adentrarse en el Interior del Parque Natural de Sierra Nevada.
El lugar elegido está en las proximidades de un castaño centenario conocido como “El Abuelo”. El origen de este camino es que fue construido como acceso a las antiguas minas de la Estrella (Siglo XIX) y de allí toma su nombre.
Debe prestarse la máxima atención y cuidado del entorno, ya que nos encontramos dentro de los límites del Parque Natural de Sierra Nevada. Para llegar hasta allí, se recomienda tomar el camino que partiendo desde la localidad de “Guejar Sierra” nos lleva hasta el lugar conocido como “Barranco de San Juan” 37 08,057N 3 23,395W.., donde podremos dejar aparcado nuestro vehículo.
Una vez aparcado nuestro vehículo, tomaremos la “Vereda de la estrella” que asciende una vez cruzado el pequeño puente sobre el rio.

This caché is placed in the margins of the way known like “ Path of The Star ”, and is known for being the best way to enter inside the Nature reserve of Sierra Nevada.
The chosen place is in the proximities of a centenary chestnut-tree known like “ The Grandfather ”. this way was constructed as access to the former mines of the Star (Century XIX) and of there takes his name.
You must give the maximum attention and care of the environment, since we are inside the limits of the Nature reserve of Sierra Nevada.. To come there, i recommend to take the way that goes out of the village of "Guejar Sierra" and takes us up to the place known as " Ravine of San Juan " 37 08,057N 3 23,395W.., where we will be able to leave our vehicle parked. Once we have parked our vehicle, we will take the " Path of The Star " that ascends once we cross the small bridge on the river.
