A fun & easy adventure for the whole family!
This is a short hike through a very nice preserve in the midst of the suburban sprawl. I always wonder why there aren’t more caches in this area. Sirius Blackdog loves this place, but doesn’t like the leash law! Our kids love the preserve for the abundance of green stuff, squishy stuff, muddy stuff, and critters.
Cache is an ammo can filled with nice swag. This is a fairly easy hike (if you park at N33 04.500 W 117 16.983, it’s about 1/3 of a mile to the cache), and is a fun one for the kids.
Careful evaluation of the terrain will help you pick the right trail - if you're unsure, check the hint.
About 10 yards into the hike, you’ll probably wonder why it’s called the pier. If you continue on the trail about 40 yards past the cache, you’ll see why.
