Geocachers Geology Get Together Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

nikcap: Thanks to everyone that came out for this event. I was nice to meet some of the regular's and meet so many local cahcers of Central Jersey.
Future plans; I will place a cache to celebrate the event near by, so keep your eyes open for that. Also, I was pleased with the setup at Stuff Yer Face, so expect a weekday evening gathering sometime in the near future too.
Thanks again to everyon ethat came out.

Geocache Description:

Saturday, January 29, 2005. 10am - ??, Lunch @ Noon

Warning, serious nerd activity follows below:

Come out and join Team Ekitt10 for a Geocachers luncheon at Stuff Yer Face, 12 Noon on Jan. 29, 2005. Lunch will be sandwiched between visits to the 37th Annual RU Geology Museum Open House.

Agenda:
10 AM - Rutgers Geology Musuem.
12 Noon - Head over to Stuff Yer Face for a stromboli lunch and talk about Geocaching.
Post-Lunch - Scott Hall will hold a rock sale, as well as a discussion entitled "Who Were the First Humans to Populate North America?"

The posted coordinates (N40° 29.909 W74° 26.797 )are for the entrance to the Geology Museum. This is a little more difficult to find than Stuff Yer face, which is located at N40° 29.877 W74° 26.954.

Parking options should be plentiful (for New Brunswick) on a Saturday morning.

Lot 1 will be open for the Museum. Lot 8 is situated nicely between the Museum, Stuff Yer Face and Scott Hall. Metered parking is available along College Ave., Hamilton St. and Easton Ave.

We hope to see you there.

Please post a note or send us an e-mail if you are coming to lunch, as I would like to give Stuff Yer Face an approximate head count. The Geology Museum can handle quite a few guests. They have also agreed to host a log book for us. If you've never been to the Rutgers Geology Museum, you have to see it. They have one of the best collections of New Jersey rocks and fossils.
