The cache is located in Duke Forest, with some hills, and walking primarily along a large creek.
New Hope Creek meanders through part of Duke Forest and is one of our favorite places to hike with our dogs. The cache is very close to a place where we often let the dogs launch off the ledge and into the water. The creek has some large boulders with small rapids and other more slowly running portions as well. You can attempt to find this cache entering from a number of locations, but the best place to park is at coordinates N35d59.669', W079d01.001'. We hid a cache here a couple years ago, and after a hurricane, it was washed away. We took precautions this time and used a heavy ammo box with a bungee cord hooking it to a tree. Please replace the bungee if you locate the cache (though you don't need to remove the bungee to open the box).
