In the Herbert Reinhard Green Memorial Wildlife Area, south of Willard, Kansas on gravel road. This area is located adjacent to an area that was known as Uniontown, which was at one time the largest town in Kansas. There was an Indian paystation there. The paystation was robbed of $20,000.00 in gold. The bandits were caught before they could cross the river north of town by the Kansas Dragoons but the gold was never found. Therfore , the name of the cache, "Uniontown Gold".
Unfortunately due to the area being burned, the cache was also burned. It has been moved to a new location in the wildlife area with a new ammo box and cache items. The new coordinates are listed above as of May 6, 2005. Happy hunting.
