Travel Bug Motel Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Hemlock: This cache has been brought to my attention via a "needs archived" log. This cache has been missing for over 10 months, which should be more than enough time to check on it and replace it if needed. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time I don't think we can do so any longer. Therefore, I have archived this cache.

When/if this cache is replaced, please email me at hemlock@geocachingadmin.com and I'll be more than happy to take a look at your cache again. If it is still within the guidelines for cache placement and posting, it will then be unarchived.

I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the future.

Thanks for your understanding,
Hemlock

Geocache Description:

This cache is our first ammo box! Sean thought up this location, and it turned out to be pretty good! It takes about 5 minutes of easy hiking down to the cache, and then 1 minute of scrambling up a semi-slippery hill! That's what the 2.5 difficulty is all about.

This cache is meant to be a Motel for Travel Bugs on their way somewhere else. But at the time I made it, I only had 2 TBs in my possession. So I left some other items in there, with hopes that someone would trade them out for Travel Bugs.

You take San Rafael Ave to Moon, and we parked at:
N 34 06.521
W 118 12.876

I don't know how accurate the coords were when I took the reading, so I took it twice a couple feet away (when I was right on the cache, the GPS was unable to read anything, so the coords lead you to a spot a couple feet away - but you should be able to find it easily enough).

The 2nd set of coords I took are:

N 34 06.469
W 118 12.807

IMPORTANT - PLEASE HELP THIS CACHE BY RE-HIDING IT VERY WELL, AS I BELIEVE OTHER PEOPLE HAVE USED THIS SPOT FOR OTHER THINGS, SUCH AS DRINKING BEER. I DON'T WANT THE CACHE TO BE DISCOVERED! I APPRECIATE YOUR HELP.
