This set of Caches (MMM) takes cachers to one of the 6 Artworks as
well as one of the 28 "X Marks the Memory" markers scattered around
the City of Port Phillip.
"The Listening Place" is a work by Ros Bandt and Julie
Shiels. It is a sound installation beneath the park bench with
"Listen" inscribed in six different languages onto the seat's
bluestone footing. Information on the artwork can be found on the
plaque at the site, and the website below. The coordinates for this
cache will take you to the park bench, and I invite you to take a
few minutes to listen to some of the stories told.
"See you Tommorrow" is one of the MMM series of plaques that you
would be familiar with if you've done more of the series. Due to
it's proximity to The Listening Place, it's not a seperate cache,
but helps form part of this cache. If you wander from the Listening
Place to the gazebo nearby, the marker here shares a memory from
some migrants who now have taken up Tai Chi in the park.
The cache itself is a film canister hidden on the Gazebo.
Please replace it carefully.
