This is a swing bridge with a clearance of 2.9m (9.4 ft). During
the Canal's operating season the bridge swings on demand except on
Mondays to Fridays (excluding holidays) when it will NOT operate
between the hours of 08:30 - 09:00h,; 12:30 - 13:15h; and 15:30 -
17:30h.
This is a moving bridge so take heed of the warning signs and
keep away from the underside of the bridge and its mechanism. THE
CACHE IS NOT ON THE BRIDGE OR IN THE FENCED OFF AREA UNDERNEATH IT!
Pay close attention to the warning signs.
You are searching for a small container hidden on the shore very
near to the southwest corner of the bridge. Free parking at scenic
Hogs Back Falls Park lot, or the Rideau Canoe Club lot is sometimes
available. A very popular spot with strollers and boaters during
the summer months so discretion when retrieving and replacing the
container will ensure its continued survival.
