Gostam de praia? E de um passeio ao longo de uma marginal? Então
se calhar podem fazer isso e ao mesmo tempo loggar uma cache!
Para loggar esta cache precisam de quatro coisas:
- Um GPS (se calhar nem isso)
- Um telemovel
- Um amigo num computador com ligação à net e com telefone
- O desejo de terem uma foto com o logotipo do geocaching ou algo
semelhante.
Têm isso tudo? Então vamos ao trabalho. Se seguirem até às
coordenadas indicadas estarão na praia da costa da caparica. A
camera pode ser facilmente identificada. Ela serve para os
surfistas verem o estado do mar.
Telefonem ao vosso amigo e digam-lhes para ir a
http://www.beachcam.pt/praias_beachcams.php?id=20 . Talvez seja boa
ideia carregar no botão que diz "live" para a imagem ser
actualizada automaticamente. Agora ponham o logotipo de Geocaching
que disponibilizo no fim da página bem à vista. Em alternativa
podem fazer algo que vos identifique como geocachers como por
exemplo levantar o GPS bem alto. Tenho é de saber que são
geocachers e não outra pessoa qualquer.
Tudo o que o vosso amigo tem de fazer é carregar com o botão
direito do rato da imagem e fazer "save picture as" ou o
equivalente no vosso browser. Juntem a imagem ao log e ele será
validado.
Eu não opero a câmera por isso poderão haver alturas em que esta
esteja em baixo para manutenção e fora do meu controlo. Se ainda
quiserem loggar a vossa visita, bastará uma foto do local para eu a
aceitar. Além disso, de noite, poderá não ser possível ter imagem
da câmera.

Do you like the beach? What about a nice walk along the
sea-side? Then maybe you can do that while logging a find!
To log this cache you need four things:
- A GPS (maybe not)
- A mobile phone
- A friend with an internet connection and a phone
- Being willing to have a picture taken with a geocaching logo or
similar.
Do you have all that? Then lets get to work. If you follow the
coordinates you'll be at the beach in Costa da Caparica. The camera
can easily be identified. It's main purpose is for surfers to see
the sea conditions.
Call your friend and tell him to go to
http://www.beachcam.pt/praias_beachcams.php?id=20 . Maybe it's a
good idea to press the "live" button so the image is automatically
updated. Now get the Geocaching logo I have at the end of the page
in view of the camera. You can also do something that identifies
you as a geocacher like raising your GPS in your hand or something
similar. I just need to know you ate a geocacher and not someone
else.
All your friend has to do is click the right mouse button and
select "save picture as" or whatever is equivalent in your browser.
Add that picture to your log and it will be validated.
I don't operate the camera so there could be times where it is
offline and out of my control. If you still wish to log your visit
just take a picture of the spot and I'll allow it. Also, at night,
it might not be possible to have the camera's image.
