A new cache in the county's smallest park.
Big Rock Park resides between lanes of the former Big Rock road, which was relocated to make way for the new grocery store. You won't find picnic tables or a playground, but it has a rock, two trees, and a great view of the valley. The huge granite boulder is a glacial erratic, deposited by retreating glaciers after the last ice age. The two trees were planted in 1916 by Leo Leyde, a local pioneer resident.
The cache conatiner is a small lock & lock. No need to trample anything or do any heavy lifting. Please rehide well and replace anything you have moved. And if you're so inclined, there's a benchmark nearby as well!
