Geocache Description:

A quick, hearty climb up among old trees...enjoy the sound of the river and the wind in the trees!

Prairie Road east from Alger is a good starting point for this cache. You'll find a bridge over the Samish River constructed in 1973...I'm sure it's seen plenty of fishermen, teen-age antics, and steamed car-windows over the past three decades! From there you need to climb. WEAR DEEP-LUGGED BOOTS.
I would recommend that children and terrain-challenged geocachers go very slowly or let a freind 'remote' the cache for you. Although logging hasn't occured here in many years, the devastation is still readily apparent, as is the natural regrowth.
I have placed three items in the cache to start. First is a freindly travel-bear. Second is a Washington GeoCoin, and third is a California GeoCoin. Both coins are from 2004.
