The cache is located along the public footpath which goes behind the ici site at thornton.the footpath can be approached from stanah country park or from the other end near to cala gran holiday park.the path itself is fairly flat but can get very muddy in places.please note if you approach from the cala gran end the path does cross a disused railway line.once you get near the cache site you get some nice views across the wyre estuary to rural hambleton
the cache itself is the size of a small ice cream tub and contains a few small toys
