Formerly a 2-stage multi in south Forsyth County. Now a simple one. Cache is a well-cammouflaged plastic bottle.
The French region of Berry includes the area where Valerie's family lives. The street on which the first stage is located reflects the name of this cache.
The steam tractor has been sold because of the death of the owner, and is headed to Nebraska apparently. I attended the auction, and this machine sold for over $80,000!
Therefore this will now be a single-stage cache. The final coordinates are:
N 34° 09.313 W 84° 12.763
A few of our local cachers have complained that my puzzle caches are too difficult, so here is a straightforward little multi whose only difficulty may be locating the container.
The given coordinates will lead you to the driveway of a farm where a beautifully-restored steam traction engine is displayed under its own shelter. You do not need to enter the fenced in property. Rather, admire the engine and discover two facts about it:
a) Count the number of outer spokes on one of the front wheels. This number is X.
b) On the boiler you will see a cylinder with the name of the manufacturer in white letters and a patent date: month and year: M and YYYY. Compute Z = YYYY-1136.
The coordinates of the cache are:
N 34 9.MX
W 84 12.Z
Contents are a log sheet, two AA batteries, and a 1935 Mercury dime as FTF prize. Please bring a pencil/pen.
The steam engine is often gone during July and August to participate in parades, including the Cumming July 4 parade. You may need to hunt this one another time if the engine is not under its shelter.
