A bison tube hidden alongside the Deer park
Over the fence from here is Heriots Deer Park where often you can see the animals close to the fence. We are by no means deer experts so don't know what type of deer they are. We initially thought they might be Muntjacs but a lot of cachers have suggested they are actually Fallow Deer so we'll leave it up to you to decide. The small herd are friendly and will follow visitors along the fence hoping for a nibble on a leaf. The Deer Park itself is private but the best place to see the deer is when you head along the footpath from this cache towards ‘Heriots Hide’ cache. Recommended parking for this and the other three ‘Priory’ caches is at 51°37.743'N, 0°19.427'W, and the footpath can be accessed via Priory Drive (this is a private Road so you can not park there). Alternatively you can combine these caches with the ‘Grim’ caches and park at 51°37.228'N, 0°20.968'W (both car parks are free).
