Shediac Island has an interesting history. A visit to the Island
will perhaps bring you close to some of that history. Check out the

The cache is only a minute or two from a beautiful sandy beach.
Getting to this cache on foot in summer from the dock will require
a hike on the nature trails and then a long hike on an overgrown
trail.
Be careful going over the ice to the island in winter months.
Many people snowshoe and ski to the island and many more go over in
snowmobiles.
In summer be sure to bring lots of bug repellent. If you do not
have access to a boat to get you to the island, there is a regular
shuttle in summer months that brings you to the dock, close to the
beaches and the nature trails
