Geocache Description:

Salop and Salopia are the ancient names for the town and region;later it became known as Shrobesbury, so ShrOwsbury is probably the correct way to say it. It is an old medieval town built in a defensive position within the loop of the river Severn, and developed as an administrative centre and market town,on the strength of the wool trade. There are many old timber-framed buildings remaining.

The above co-ords. are simply for a Pay & Display car park near the English Bridge but I suggest you use the frequent Park & Ride. There is another P & D car park near the Welsh Bridge at OS GR 491129(unless flooded!)
The cache has been designed as a kind of "treasure hunt" which will take you to some of the most interesting and historical parts of the town. A fair amount of walking will be needed to complete it. The grading takes into account that it may be hard to get a GPS fix in parts of the town centre.
I think you will probably want to spend the whole day here if you are newcomers; bring a camera- its very photogenic! There are many pubs, tea-shops, cafes, and restaurants for R&R, and lots of interesting shops in the narrow cobbled streets and shuts(passage ways). Have a great day!

The final cache,a medium plastic tub, is at

The above co-ords. will take you to the general vicinity of each clue so you will have to search to find the answers.
Its worth going into any of the nearby buildings although there are no clues indoors.
