Fairly open and well marked trail when accessing it from the west.
Some rocks (lose and otherwise) cover the trail which Mapquest
classifies as a road. Elevation change is roughly 75 feet in just
under half a mile, with dips and valleys dotting the route.
We found this trail one day after mapquest gave us some pretty
lousy directions. Its a great place to hike, walk your dog, or ride
a horse and in the summer months you will encounter people doing
all of the above.
Please be sure and enjoy the view at N38' 40.003 W120' 58.134! Its
a very popular spot to view Cameron Park (and on a clear day the
Serria's), so popular in fact I didn't feel confident in hiding the
cache near it.
A quick note about parking:
You should be able to find parking in the area of N38'40.120
W120'58.358. Please try and use the side streets (it makes sense
when you see them) and respect people's driveways, mailboxes, and
lawns. Access maybe possible from the east side of the cache via
the Medical center, but I have not explored that route yet.
