Pinocchio - Carlo Lorenzini "Collodi" 1826-1890
Firenze, Quartiere di Castello - Pinocchio è il burattino amato dai bambini di tutto il mondo. Il suo creatore, Carlo Lorenzini, conosciuto anche come "Collodi" - dal nome del paese di sua madre, nacque a Firenze nel 1826. In gioventù combattè con Garibaldi nel Risorgimento e fu giornalista, fondò anche due giornali satirici. Nel 1875 Lorenzini tradusse in italiano le fiabe di Perrault. Da questa esperienza cominciò egli stesso a scrivere racconti e fiabe per bambini. La più famosa fu Pinocchio, terminata nel 1881. A quel tempo Carlo Lorenzini viveva a Firenze ed aveva una residenza estiva nella Villa "Bel Riposo", all'angolo tra Via della Querciola e Via di Castello, nel Comune di Firenze. Dalla Villa era solito recarsi a passeggio su in collina fino alla chiesa di "San Michele a Castello", sedere sotto gli alberi vicino alla chiesa cercando l'ispirazione per il suo libro, oppure si recava alla vicine Ville Medicee "Villa Reale di Castello" o "Villa La Petraia" (si raccomanda una visita). Fu durante una di queste passeggiate che vide una bella contadinella bionda dagli occhi azzurri che gli ispirò la figura della "Fata dai Capelli Turchini"; sembra che il suo nome fosse Giovanna Ragionieri e che sia sepolta nel piccolo cimitero accanto alla chiesa di San Michele.
Adesso avete l'occasione di conoscere il luogo dove Pinocchio fu concepito! Per raggiungere la frazione di Castello potete prendere l'autobus n.28 dalla Stazione di Santa Maria Novella. Se andate in auto fate attenzione perché le strade sono molto strette. La cache è una scatola di plastica dipinta di nero. State attenti nel prendere la cache, il Gatto e la Volpe sono soliti rubare i tesori! Contenuto iniziale: lapis, logbook, moschettone portachiavi PS2, candelina, vecchie 100 lire.
Florence, District of Castello - Pinocchio is the puppet loved by children all over the world. His creator, Carlo Lorenzini, also known as "Collodi" - from his mother's village name, was born in Florence in 1826. In youth he fighted with Garibaldi in the Italian Risorgimento for the indipendence of Italy and was journalist, he founded also satyrical newspapers. In 1875 Lorenzini translated into italian the novels for children of Perrault. From this experience he began to write novels and fairy tales himself. The most famous was Pinocchio, finished in 1881. At that time Carlo Lorenzini lived in Florence and had a summer house "Villa Bel Riposo" in the village of Castello, at the corner between Via della Querciola and Via di Castello, in the Comune of Florence. From the Villa he used go uphill to the Church of "San Michele a Castello", sit under the trees near the church searching for inspiration for his famous book, or alternatively he went to the Medici Villas of "Villa Reale di Castello" or "Villa Petraia" both in the nearby (they are worth of a visit). It was during a walk that he saw a young blue-eyed blonde countrygirl who inspired him the personage of the "Blue-Haired Fairy". It seems that her name was Giovanna Ragionieri and that she would be buried in the little cemetery besides the church of San Michele. Now you have the occasion to know the place where Pinocchio was conceived!
To reach Castello take the Bus 28 from the Railroad Station of Santa Maria Novella. If you go by car, be careful because the streets are very tight. The cache is a little plasic box, painted black. Be careful in retrieving: the Cat and the Fox use to steal the treasures! Starting content: pencil. logbook, keychain PS2, candle, old 100 lire coin.
