Located at Wilderness Park north of Pittsburg
The cache is located along the Millenium Trail at Wilderness Park which is a 102 acre park that is on old strip pit land. The area is rugged and does look like a wilderness except that there are wonderful walking trails that meander throughout the area.
I remember when I searched for a cache here last year that mcarter had maintained for several years, I was enchanted with the ruggedness of the park and the nice walking trails. When he moved out of state and archived his cache a few months ago, I knew that I would end up putting a cache somewhere in the park since it is such a wonderful area to visit.
The cache is in an ammo box with the usual assorted items for trade.
The trails are gravel and easy to walk. The cache is located about 20 feet off a trail. The hike to the cache will be about 10-15 minutes.
Parking is at 37 27.298 N and 094 42.825 W. The park closes at dark. There is a large map of the trails located on the east edge of the parking area.
