A traditional cache in an ammo box. Check with the Monte Sano State Park office for park rules and current hours of operation. There is a $1 per person honor system fee if you park in the main hiker/biker lot on top of Monte Sano. Pick up a trail map at the Park office or download one from www.briartech.com.
A not overly difficult hike on a well-traveled trail, but there are several hundred feet of elevation changes. You can expect pesky little critters, very much heavier overgrowth, and lots of poison ivy in the summer months. Watch out for snakes during their active period. The downloaded image is related to the "Additional Hints".
There are many downed trees in the area, seemingly from high winds.
The cache originally contained a corkscrew, lint brush, rummy cards, family card games, coasters, bunny necklace, scented gel pens, St Patrick and Easter stickers.
