Saturday 11th June - Sunday 12th June 2005
On Saturday the 11th of June through to Sunday the 12th of June will be the very first HofB "Carry On Camping" Cache Event!
Set in the glorious landscape of Keswick in the Lake district we will have access to 30 caches in a 10 mile radius, the nearest one being just quarter of a mile away from the campsite we will be staying at!
All that you need to do to claim the cache is have a love (and tolerance) of the outdoors and pitch / park up at the Burns Farm campsite, just outside of Keswick, and join the rest of us!!! We have tried to pick a central location for all local amenities (in other words the local pub is only a mile away from the camp site!!)
In order to book your pitch at the event, please leave a note on this page saying you want to attend (how many in your group and what you'll be staying in, plus if you want electric hook-up's) and we will get in contact with you with all of the details!!!
The main decision to make at the event will be whether to join the cachers attempting the vertigo inducing "Scafell Pike" cache or those taking on the epic "Quest For The Ring Of Power" multicache. Apart from that the agenda of the weekend is to meet up with fellow caches, forge new friendships, take in the sumptuous surroundings,take a few piccys, have a natter and most importantly cache ourselves silly!!!
At the end of the day we will make our way to the nearest watering hole and quench our thirsts with a drop (or two) of the silly juice and have a bite to eat! After that we could either retreat to the safety of our own tents/caravans or... "a spot of easy night caching anyone???"
We, the House of Boo, will be staying at the campsite from the 8th of June 2005, so if anyone wants to come up early and make the most of the weekend you are more than welcome to join us - just let us know! Anyways, see you there, Geo-campers!
