This cache is hidden just north of Grayland Beach State Park. Cache is hidden about 10 feet off of trail.
Grayland Beach State Park was a favorite campground for both my family and my wife's family when we were kids.
The park has just recently added a number of new camp sites, making it 124 total camp sites, including 10 yurts. The new camping area is very nice, as all the new sites are much closer to the beach now. The wife and I, along with our two kids, are looking forward to doing some camping here at the park in the near future and in the coming years. If you decide to camp here, this will make for a nice little stroll up the beach.
This is a pretty straight forward cache and shouldn't prove too difficult.
If you're not already camping at the State Park, they expect you to pay to park your vehicle. So if you don't feel like driving on the beach, one can park on the beach approach road (for a parking fee) and walk north up the beach about 1/4 of a mile. Otherwise, one can drive onto the beach (park for free) and look for the trail that the cache is hidden off of.
You'll be looking for a large ammo can. Original contents include a Mini Maglite, yo-yo, kids shark tale watch, deck of cards, keychain compass from geocaching.com, and Lucky Rabbit's Foot Travel Bug.
