7/7/06- Placed new cache in same location. New container is a Nalgene bottle covered in layers of masking tape. Note new hint. Ammo box may still be around, but we didn't find it.
This cache is located at the top of the sand dune at Cape Kiwanda in Pacific City. Park in the big parking lot near the pub. It's a challenging hike, but the view is spectacular! Take water! Please conceal the cache well- traffic is pretty high especially during the summer.
This is one of our favorite spots along the Oregon Coast. We hauled our baby up the hill in a backpack, but this is not a hike for little legs. There are several ways to approach the cache. We took the long way and had to power through some pretty heavy brush and climb some very steep slopes.
