THE ANGEL AND MR. O (Bucks) Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Simply Paul: There's several new caches in this area, Mr O never seems to be about when I pass and this cache was always a bit close to one of Dan's for comfort. Those -plus it never got the visitor numbers I'd like for it- means it's time to put this cache to bed. When I collected it, it was full of water too, which didn't help! Thanks to everyone who visited, and if you never did work out who Mr O was, he's famous for having eyes bigger than his brain. And no, he's not a cacher! [:D]

Geocache Description:

As with most puzzle caches, the co-ords given above aren't where the cache is hidden. But they are useful. The cache is hidden MIDWAY between this arbitrary point and the location of The Angel, pictured below. She's no more than a mile away. Take the co-ords of this beautiful and touching memorial with your GPSr the best you can (a close guess should do if the location is 'busy') then do the maths and you'll have the cache in hand in no time!

THE ANGEL AND MR. O (Bucks)

Zoe Dorothy Pearse was born on the 24th of March 1880, and died tragically young, aged just 13 on the 2nd of February 1894. I find this a very touching monument to a young woman. Please treat this location with great respect while you're entering its co-ords and calculating the location of the cache. I hope my eTrex gives the same figures as your GPSr and take care at the final location, where there is close parking. For reasons which may not become clear if you visit at night, this cache is best done in daylight. Also, please don't give any surprises away in your online log - thanks! I just want to keep Mr O's identity a secret, although there is a clue on the cache page.

Small word of warning: Mr. O isn't the O in 'The Hundreds of Aylesbury', so if you find yourself on a footpath that passes close to a house, with a stile to climb, your calculations and/or assumptions are incorrect. I hear there's also an aggressive horse in the field beyond the house, so keep clear!

A small experiment - Please feel free to rate your visit to this cache out of ten in your log.
