Come on out and help clean up a little known trail in Summerville.We got turned onto this little-used spot by GMcSC the other day and immediately noticed this area could use a bit of clean up. We see that the county had put up gates to prevent more dumping, but you can see a bunch of kids have lost some balls. It should be a fairly quick cleanup.
When: Starts at 8am, but you can show up anytime. No rain date--we'll just get wet.
Where: Follow your GPS through the gate.
What to bring: Yourself, a friend, and gloves. Some of us are going to have to wade in the creek to get some of the trash, so if you want be prepared to wade.
What will be provided: The county is providing a dumpster and trash bags. Sissy and I will be bringing some drinks. If it goes into the lunch hour, you can bring a lunch or I'm sure I can find someone to make a run to Subway. We will also have a hand washing station so you can clean up.
Newbies: If you're interested in seeing if geocaching is something you want to do, feel free to come on out. We are walking, talking geocachers whose free time is generally taken up thinking about geocaching. I don't think it will be too hard to get some of us to talk about it.
