Up One Side & Down The Other Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

LZ33: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

Its less than 1 1/2 miles round trip but with the tripping roots, jagged rocks and scratchy briars and branches that grab you along the obvious trail the weak-kneed and faint of heart will find it difficult. Dear wife says do not attempt on a no-carb diet.

This is a two-stager. Park in the day-use lot between the hours of 8:00 AM to 9:30 PM at these coordinates:
N34 06.185
W 084 40.894
Closer parking would be private property - not a good idea.
This hike could be a 4.5 if you do not follow the trails. There will be 4 creek crossings for the first leg. The first leg is 0.3 of a mile. Follow the path along the creek; if you're out of sight of the water, you've strayed too far. Half the reason for this cache is to see the rock outcroppings and cool waterfall. The second leg is 0.4 of a mile. Part of the path is used for dirt bikes and mountain biking, so heads up along this side. Starting off along the creek and then veering off later is the best way. Or, if you're up for a 4.5, follow a straight line to the final stage!
The FTF gets a complete set of 1992 Fleer Ultra baseball cards and a napkin signed by former Brave Jeff Blauser, if you're into that kind of thing. Other items include Marvel comic art cards, 5 different Nascar 1:64 scale cars, and a few paperbacks which include The Outsiders by S.S. Hinton, John Grisham's The Pelican Brief, Mary Higgins Clark's Where Are the Children, and a hardcover copy of the Bridges of Madison County by Robert James Waller.
Please cache in and trash out; this area of Lake Allatoona has been neglected for a long time. Any help, even one piece at a time, would be appreciated.
