Head for Korbel from Blue Lake, and you will be on your way to this historical site and a geocache. Off road parking is available about 50' east of the tree.
This is one of the few trees in this area that I have seen with a historical landmark on it. There is a placard on the tree explaining how it got its name. Too bad the tree and site are not better maintained, as a few folks have left their initials behind.
Please respect this small but meaningful landmark.
