"Hi nephew," he said. "Didn't I take you on some good adventures
this summer then?"
I agreed, "Going up to southeast Alaska was really
something, But where have you been this fall? I've
hardly heard from you." Onkle Ole likes to explore
around. Some of you may even have found some of his earlier
calling cards. He likes to leave them so that the locals know
that he's been by.
"Well, you know that it's almost too dark to do much in the
evening anymore," he said, "and it can sure be gray when it is
daylight. Oof da, but I sure miss the sun, ya sure."
"I know what you mean Onkle. But what can you do?"
Onkle Ole kinda chuckled and said, "You can look forward to the
Sunrise!" Then he told me of his latest walk about.
Would you like to see where Onkle Ole's been lately? Just
go to the coordinates and you'll find a clue. Just be careful
or you might get run over by others on this little trail as they
search for the sunrise with you. They won't be going as fast
as the cars just the other side of the fence, but be careful
anyway. Perhaps give a little wave and say hi. They're
a friendly lot. If they wave back, then you'll know they've
found the sunrise already. If not, then grant them leave to
be a little grumpy. After all, they may miss the sun, or
perhaps they were stuck in the middle of a cube farm all day.
As Onkle Ole would say, "Just let them pass to go crawl under a
little rock somewhere." You, after all, are on the quest to
find the sunrise. That at least rates a big smile.
Oh, and when you get back and log your visit, let us all know if
you saw the sunrise too.
